This exclusive tour will be led by MNA Botanist\, Kirstin Phillips. \nThe Herbarium is located in the Easton Collection Center (ECC) on the Research Center Campus. Coming from town\, turn right onto Research Center Drive\, across Hwy 180 from our main exhibits building. Drive up the hill and park in any of the available spots. We will have members from the Development team outside to greet and guide you if you have not yet been to the Easton Collection Center. \nThis program is part of our exhibition programming for Call of the Colorado Plateau. DESCRIPTION:Dr. Kelley Hays-Gilpin will explore the deep history of pigments and color in Hopi art\, from archaeological examples to the work of the five painters of the Artist Hopid collective. \nArtist Hopid was groundbreaking collective founded in 1973 by five visionary Hopi artists: Michael Kabotie\, Delbridge Honanie\, Terrance Talaswaima\, Neil David Sr.\, and Milland Lomakema.
