Zuni Festival

Share in the music, dance and food of the Zuni people in this two-day festival. The festival opens with a ceremonial welcome and flagraising at 9 am. Zuni Olla Maidens and Cellicion dancers will perform and share their traditions with visitors throughout the day. Learn to create a traditional waffle garden, visit the Easton Collection Center, and taste ancestral foods in this immersive, indoor/outdoor festival. Meet hundreds of carvers, weavers, potters, painters, jewelers and other artists, some carrying on traditions thousands of years old, others interpreting their cultures in distinct new ways. With puppet shows for kids, engaging performances and insightful presentations, this is a wonderful weekend for the entire family.

Thirsty Thursday

Thirsty Thursdays return
Every Thursday May 30 - September 5, 5 pm to 8 pm
$6 admission/ Free for members, NAU students and kids age 9 and under

Enjoy a different band each week performing live music in the lovely Golightly Courtyard at MNA. Food, Beer, wine and soda available for cash purchase. Museum galleries and bookstore are open late for you to browse. Fun for the entire family.

Gala & Fine Art Auction
June 22, 5 pm - 9 pm

Enjoy fresh air, fine food and new art during the Museum of Northern Arizona’s annual Gala on June 22. This festive evening is one of the preeminent social events of the summer and an important fundraiser for the museum.
The main Gala event features cocktails and hors d’oeuvres accompanying a silent auction and preview of the new exhibition Nine 4 Ninety: Artists for a New Era and opportunity to meet the artists. This exhibition features nine cutting-edge artists working on the Colorado Plateau, including a haute couture fashion designer, a printmaker combining elements of rug design and street art, a clay-artist working in a comic-book motif and an abstract sculptor.
