Details & Itinerary:
Less than an hour away from the Museum of Northern Arizona is one of the great treasures of the Arizona landscape – a stunning natural waterfall 15 feet taller than Niagara Falls. Grand Falls, also known as Chocolate Falls, flows with a range of a trickle to a torrent throughout the year. Late February provides a reasonable chance of seeing this waterfall at its most spectacular. Trip highlights include the exploration of the lava flows that created the falls and an opportunity to hike down to the base.
Participants bring a water bottle, lunch, snacks, hat, sunscreen, good walking shoes, and your camera.
MNA will provide transportation, extra water, permits and guides.
