Details & Itinerary:
Less than an hour away from the Museum of Northern Arizona is one of the great treasures of the Arizona landscape – a stunning natural waterfall 15 feet taller than Niagara Falls. Grand Falls, also known as Chocolate Falls, flows with a range of a trickle to a torrent throughout the year. Early March provides a reasonable chance of seeing this waterfall at its most spectacular. Trip highlights include the exploration of the lava flows that created the falls and a visit to Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument.
Participants bring a water bottle, lunch, snacks, hat, sunscreen, good walking shoes, and your camera.
MNA will provide transportation, extra water, all permits and guides.
