The Museum of Northern Arizona is surrounded by beautiful nature trails. It’s easy to bike to the Museum on the Flagstaff Urban Trail System, which leads from the west end of the Museum parking area to a network of Flagstaff Trails. Walk along the rim or wander in the peaceful canyon bottom of the Rio de Flag right outside of our doorstep.
The Rio de Flag Nature Trail travels along a shallow canyon carved by the Rio de Flag through the lava flow that covered much of the Flagstaff area 6 million years ago. Open from dawn to dusk, the trail is a half a mile in length.
