Museum Highlights Tour
Trained docents lead the way, telling stories and providing insights. Tours can range from a quick overview of the entire museum to deeper explorations of areas of interest to your group, whether that’s learning about the many Indigenous cultures of the Colorado Plateau, fascinating geologic formations, evidence of dinosaurs and other ancient creatures, or pottery, jewelry, textiles, and fine art. BuildingsBehind-the-Scenes Tours
Did you know that MNA’s collections were identified as a National Treasure in 2007? Come behind the scenes to see why these holdings have national significance and hear how these “stored” objects and specimens are used and protected. Tours occur the second Friday of each month from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Registration is required. Click here for details.

Garden Tours
Available from June through August, these outdoor tours introduce visitors to the plant life of the region and the many ways people grow and use plants. Visit an ethnobotanical garden where more than 100 species of Native plants grow, walk through a verdant canyon with a native plant expert, or get some hands-on instruction on gardening techniques.
