The Museum of Northern Arizona (MNA) has been celebrating the Colorado Plateau’s natural and cultural heritage since 1928. Our 200-acre research campus includes a Museum showcasing the geology, anthropology, and art of the region as well as state-of-the-art research and collections facilities. Visitor Experience Associate

Status: Non-exempt full time, hourly at $19.44/hour

The Visitor Experience Associate is an integral part of the Visitor Experience Team and is the primary point of contact for members and visitors. The position responsibilities include greeting visitors, selling admission and event tickets, selling memberships, assisting with special events and rentals, patrolling the galleries, providing customer service in our retail location, and adhering to the health protocols in place to ensure a clean workplace environment.

Internships

Students who are interested in an unpaid internship in any section of the museum should send a note to the department head and/or Human Resources the semester prior to their internship with the following information.

  • Your College / University
  • Your Program
  • Contact information for your faculty advisor or internship coordinator
  • Is the internship for credit?
  • Start and end dates
  • Special interests or skills you want to focus on

Please speak to your faculty advisor to find out what paperwork is needed. If the internship needs to be posted on your program’s site, please provide a contact person or a link to your program’s instructions for setting up an internship.
