Interested in deepening your connection to nature, learning more about the plants and animals you see around you, and spending time with others who have similar interests? Come to this first meeting of a Nature Journal Club forming at MNA.

Nature journaling is observing nature and recording what you see using words, drawings, and numbers. Journaling has been an essential tool of scientists for hundreds of years, from the famous notebooks of Leonardo da Vinci to the observations Charles Darwin recorded in journals. This club is led by Liz Blaker, an artist and biologist who teaches nature sketching classes at the Museum of Northern Arizona Discovery Village. It is for anyone, of any age or ability, who is interested. We will meet at the MNA Discovery Village, at the end of Winding Brook Rd. Bring your own materials (journal, pens and pencils, etc).
