Join us for the 21st Annual Celebraciones de la Gente, an unparalleled opportunity to experience the history and culture of Mexican, Mexican-American, and LatinX communities in northern Arizona. In line with the Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) observance, we invite everyone to this colorful celebration of life, music, dance, food, and heartfelt remembrances.

Throughout the weekend, visitors can enjoy cultural dances and music, browse the intricately decorated ofrendas in the Jaime Major Golightly Courtyard, and gain insights during presentations by cultural experts.

For the first time at the Museum of Northern Arizona, Mariachi Rubor Femenil will perform on Saturday and Sunday, as well as stroll the Jaime Major Golightly Courtyard during Courtyard After Dark on Saturday. Celebraciones will also feature Ballet Folklorico de Colores of Flagstaff for traditional Mexican folk dancing.

The vibrant Jaime Major Golightly Courtyard stays open into Saturday evening so visitors can experience the illumination of the ofrendas, one of the essential elements of the Day of the Dead observance. Enjoy sweet treats and hot drinks during the evening festivities.

Celebraciones tickets are good for the entire weekend: $20 General Admission, $10 MNA members, $5 youth, kids age 9 and under free.
